Orange Amp + Burson Audio V5-OPA

What a fellowship of harmony it is! These discrete designs from Orange Amp just BARELY fit side by side in the Creative ZXr.

Initial Impression: I heard an obvious tone change around the mid frequencies and possibly a sharper roll off for the top-end (less sparkle). Needs way more testing before I can be sure of that.

Stay tuned for my reviews coming down the line. I have Burson Audio’s “RCA-to-RCA Cable+” up first and then I will dive into the head-to-head battle for top discrete op-amp!

    • Hello, sorry about the delayed response. The orange amplification discrete op-amps are definitely competitive with the Burson V5-OPA series. Look for my new review coming in the following days to a week. I am now using an ES9038Pro DAC with an Amanero w/ Golden TCXO 0.1ppm oscillators along with a dedicated high-end preamp. I will give detailed thoughts on both the Orange discrete series and also Burson Audio’s new V6 line!
