NOS EVOX 0.15uF 250V Mini Box MMK Vintage Capacitors (x3)

Description

These EVOX Mini Box MMK Mylar Film capacitors tested very good across the board for NOS (or new) capacitors!!! Some of the higher numbers of the first group of lots, with excellent accuracy for capacitance (all within 10% at 120Hz and 1kHz)! The Q-Rating and ESR look great for this type of capacitor it’s typical, WIMA and ERO Panaserts have similiar test numbers. Tested on 7/30/18.

New 8/9/18: Insulation Resistance taken for each capacitor are all within the expected IR value from manufacturer tables, such as from Kemet and Sprague’s IR vs. Capacitance tables. Tie for 2nd lowest drifting capacitors in IR measurements so far, 3-4 digit drift maximum after initial charging. Capacitor approaches steady state in under 7 seconds and thus approaches its lowest leakage point quickly ( I = V/R -> 250V / (142 x 10^6) = 1.761 x 10^-6 amp). Uni-T UT511 Pro Insulation Tester was used to acquire these values. Insulation Resistance is a measurement of the dielectric impedance to DC voltage. This is why some older insulation testers are called Dielectric Testers. The only other equipment capable of measuring such high resistances are capacitor analyzers like the vintage TO-6A from Sprague. These NOS EVOX Mini Boxes are very good, out performing the NOS ERO and WIMA film capacitors in this first group of vintage lots.

These were the first capacitor group to have Q-Factors beyond 1000, this causes the Extech 380193 to read OL (Overload). In order to maintain the scale (which changes with the range you have it in by a specific factor each time), you want to leave the meter in the same setting for all of the capacitors in the group, to do this I used the dissipation factor and took the inverse of it to find the Q-Factor’s value. This is a valid way to get a good estimate, but the resolution of the possible values isn’t great when you only have 0.009 to 0.001 to give you values, roughly a 10% jump between each available/possible measurement value. However, the measurement is 100% valid, it’s only that our accuracy here isn’t great when I have to resort to using 1/DF to get the Quality Factor/Rating.

For customers inside the USA, I do 60 days for NOS items and 30 days for re-certified used items! Return shipping will be paid by customer.

For international buyers I do 30 days on both NOS and re-certified used items. Return shipping must be paid by the customer.

This warranty does not include you applying too much voltage for the rating of the capacitor and thus blowing it out. If you return a capacitor that is now reading open or is short circuited, you will not get a refund. The warranty covers normal usage over the period of time listed or if my performance measurements are off for a high end capacitor, like the MiniWatt caps.
